Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and More Rockstar Games Coming To Xbox One Next Week

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a classic of the last decade, so surely in more than one occasion you have been tempted to play it again. If you have it for Xbox 360 or Xbox, you’ll be happy to know that soon you can play it without having to dust off the last generation console, since it is on its way to being one of the backward compatible titles with Xbox One.

In a publication on its website, Rockstar Games announced that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Midnight Club: Los Angeles and Rockstar Games presents: Table Tennis will arrive next week for backward compatibility with Xbox One. To be more specific, these titles can be enjoyed on the current generation console from Thursday, June 7.

A detail that seems important to note is that both versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – that is, the original for Xbox and the port for Xbox 360 – will be backward compatible with Xbox One. That said, those who have the Xbox launch will receive the improved version for Xbox 360, so you can play it with higher resolution, better drawing distance and full compatibility with the achievements system.

Keep in mind that once these 3 Rockstar games are backward compatible, you will have to insert your disk to the console to play them. That said, if you have them in digital format, it’s just a matter of downloading them from your library.

We remind you that these are not the first games in the Rockstar catalog that are added to the backward compatibility. What we are referring to is that it has been possible to play Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV and Bully: Scholarship Edition on Xbox One for some time.
