God of War

Every time less is needed for the debut of God of War and it seems that Sony seeks to torment our wait by releasing interesting material that gives an account of what awaits us on April 20. On this occasion, Jeet Shroff explained the reason why Atreus, son of Kratos, exists in the title and the role he will fulfill in the adventure.

Sony released a new trailer on the development of God of War, which focuses on the presence of Atreus and the reason why he joined the adventure of Kratos. The video is starred by Jeet Shroff, chief of gameplay engineering, who initially revealed that the initial idea that shaped Atreus obeyed the need to change the focus of the series and break with the one-dimensional character that Kratos had in previous installments.

According to the creative, the main challenge was to integrate the son of Kratos into the story and the gameplay in an appropriate way, as it is clear that the once Spartan warrior who killed the gods of Olympus does not need help.

In that sense, Shroff defined Atreus as an extra interesting being for the player who controls Kratos, as well as having a button dedicated to the youngster, there will also be sections where he can be controlled and when he is not, it will be an important ally to open up step between the scenarios, solving riddles and fighting with enemies.

God of War will arrive on April 20 on PS4. Check the new trailer below.
