God of War 1.20 Update Available Now, Photo Mode Finally Arrives

After making us wait a few weeks, Santa Monica Studio announced that the most anticipated update for God of War will arrive today. It is the one that will include the photo mode, which will give us a series of tools that will allow us to capture our favorite moments of the game.

To access the God of War photo mode, you need to install update 1.20 and look for it in the options menu or enable quick access from the TouchPad. When you activate it you can use the analog sticks to navigate the scene to find the perfect angle. You can also adjust the field of view, focus distance, focal field, depth of field and more. That’s not all since there will also be different filters and borders for you to give the final touch to the image.

Do not you think that’s enough? Then you should know that you will also have the option to deactivate the visualization of each of the characters that appear in your scene. And if that was not enough, you will have the option to change the facial expressions of Kratos and Atreus.

“With God of War, we hoped to craft a game experience that was both a technical and art showcase. So adding Photo Mode was a no brainer! With Photo Mode, players will be able to unleash their creativity and experience the world, its fast paced combat, the beautifully crafted environments and its deadly characters like never before. With player choice being such a central theme to many of the decisions we made on God of War, we sought to deliver a Photo Mode with lots of options and we’re excited to put it in your hands,” said Jeet Shroff, chief engineer of Santa Monica Studio.

It is important to note that photo mode is not the only novelty of update 1.20 for God of War. What we are referring to is that it also adds an option to increase the text of the user interface and the possibility of reassigning the Rage mode.

God of War is available exclusively for PlayStation 4 from the end of April. Are you excited about the arrival of photo mode for God of War? Will you share your best captures with your friends? Tell us in the comments below.
