After venturing into God of War for a long time, Chris O’Neill joined The Initiative studio, Microsoft’s new dream team.
Chris O’Neill, former developer of Sony Santa Monica and God of War, has joined (according to his LinkedIn page)The Initiative, the new development studio of Microsoft currently working on creating new intellectual properties.
In recent years, O’Neill had worked as Senior Staff Level Designer on the latest adventure of Kratos for, released on PS4 last spring. He had previously contributed to the creation of the online mode of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
In recent months, Darrell Gallagher, Studio Head of The Initiative, had announced the entry into the studio of other numerous talented developers, including the game director of Sunset Overdrive, the technical director of Rockstar Games and a number of other professionals from leading studios such as Crystal Dynamics and Respawn Entertainment.
The projects on which The Initiative is working have not yet been revealed. Let’s hope to discover something in the coming months, maybe already on the occasion of E3 2019.
