God of War 2 on PS5: Sony Santa Monica Hiring People Who “Must Have Knowledge of God of War (2018)”
Before E3 2019, Cory Barlog fueled the hopes of fans of God of War by informing us that the Ragnarok is coming. It is no coincidence, therefore, that job advertisements relating to God of War 2 for PS5 are beginning to appear on the pages of the Sony Santa Monica official website.
After the search for the Concept Artist started in recent weeks, the leaders of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s California subsidiary have decided to open new job positions ranging from Narrative Designers to developers charged with realizing the animations of the hero’s new combat system and mysterious title (presumably Kratos) and its enemies.
The profile of the ideal candidate to cover each of these tasks can be read on the official website of the partner, “must have knowledge of God of War (2018) and be able to speak in depth about the combat systems, mechanics and enemies.”
Even more detailed are the clues offered by the profile of the Facial Blend Shape Character Artist, for which “next-gen video game platform experience is desirable.”
Recently, even Sony itself has hinted that the official announcement of God of War 2 could take place very soon, as suggested by the latest dynamic theme for PS4. Everything suggests, however, that the launch of God of War 2 should take place not before 2021, or at least not at the launch of PlayStation 5.
