Gears of War 4 October Update With Xbox One X Support Will Release on October 23rd

The Coalition and Microsoft are preparing to celebrate the first anniversary of Gears of War 4 with the full update of October.

According to the words of the developer, this is one of the most important updates ever published for the game. In addition to introducing the last two multiplayer maps, the new October will also include support for Xbox One X.

While details of improvements made possible by the advanced hardware of the new console will be revealed in the coming days, we already know what the two new maps will be: Fuel Depot and Apex Lift. The first will be characterized by a large open area, which will stimulate distance combat, and a warehouse, where the Gnasher Gun control will be.

Lift Apex, however, is set in an Emulsion Extraction System in the middle of the Serano Ocean and re-imagines the original map without moving elevator mechanics. You can admire them in the two preview images shown in this news.

The holders of the Season Pass will get access to the news as of Monday, October 23, along with 20% bonus credits and double experience. All other players will have to wait on October 30th. At Halloween, also will be available many new characters, new skins for weapons and many themed items.

Gears of War 4 is available on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs. Xbox One X, on the other hand, will be available all over the world from November 7th.
