Fortnite Rated for Nintendo Switch in Korea

The Korean Game Rating Board has recently rated Fortnite for Nintendo Switch. The news comes shortly after the rumors that saw the title of Epic Games present at E3 2018 for the hybrid console of Big N.

The drama between Fortnite and Nintendo Switch lasted for months and has had its good dose of ups and downs. However, everything would point to the fact that ultimately the work of Epic Games would be ready to make its debut on the hybrid console of the Japanese brand. Recently, it has been the Korean rating agency who, by surprise, has officially listed the version of Fortnite for Nintendo Switch.

At the moment there seems to be no release date for the title, although this is not the only one of the questions that can be presented. The first of these will deal with the online presence in Battle Royale mode. While this on PlayStation 4 does not require PlayStation Plus, Xbox One does with Games With Gold, so it remains to be seen if Nintendo Switch will allow free enjoyment of the most fashionable way or if on the contrary, it will be necessary to acquire Nintendo Switch Online.

Another aspect to deal with would be the one referring to cross-play. Today, Fortnite: Battle Royale allows all platforms to play between them with the exception of PlayStation 4 with Xbox One, given the condition of rivalry between them. The doubt, then, would arise if Nintendo Switch would end up offering the possibility of playing with both platforms or only with only one of these.

Given the relationship of Sony and Microsoft in this regard seems to be a matter of greater complexity of the apparent, although if the decision should be taken in favor of one of the two platforms, the logical thing would be to opt to cooperate with Xbox One, given the history of collaboration between the two.

Remember that Fortnite is currently available for PC, Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One and smartphones. Epic Games has not yet officially announced a version for Switch. Stay tuned with us for all future news coming to the game, which in summer will also land on Android.
