First Data from the British market arrives for Horizon Zero Dawn vs Zelda Breath of the Wild
As reported this morning recently, Horizon Zero Dawn debuted at the top spot of the British software ranking, while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was placed on the second step of the podium. Now come new details on the success of two titles in the UK.
According to Charttrack, they have revealed the sales figures of the British gaming market last week. Apparently Horizon: Zero Dawn has dug the box office finishing in the first place, followed immediately by another open-world, namely The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Specifically, Horizon Zero Dawn recorded its best launch ever for a new IP for PlayStation 4, a record that until now belonged to No Man’s Sky. In addition, Horizon is, in fact, the best launch title for Sony since the days of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
As for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, we find that the Wii U version has sold 22% of copies distributed while the Switch edition has sold 78% of the total units, making allegedly also towed to the console sales, for which it has sold 80,000 units in the first weekend of availability in the UK.
Obviously the Nintendo Switch output and its games are in the spotlight with several of hits titles in the top positions of the standings. Among these we also have 1-2-Switch and Super Bomberman R.
