Final Fantasy XV will have online cooperative mode
As part of its advertisements of Paris Games Week, Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XV, the expected JRPG will receive a multiplayer mode after its release as part of their DLC.
At the moment there are very few details on this mode and the only thing confirmed is that it will be for 4 players and there we can control some of the characters who accompany Noctis in the campaign.
In a statement, Square Enix said that this mode is part of “the new styles of gameplay” that comes with the Season Pass ($25 USD) for Final Fantasy XV. The cooperative mode will be available as part of the DLC Comrades, where up to 4 players take control of Noctis, Gladiolus, Prompto and Ignis. At the moment it is unknown whether this chapter will be sold separately.
“The centerpiece of the Season Pass are having 3 original episodes that take place during the events of Final Fantasy XV. Each episode allows players to take control of one of the comrades of Noctis on new adventures featuring unique gameplay styles for each character,” said Square Enix in a statement.
