Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn Confirmed, Three DLC Episodes Coming In 2018
Today the Active Time Report was celebrated for the anniversary of Final Fantasy XV. As expected, director Hajime Tabata surprised the audience with some news for the RPG. Most of them will debut in December, thanks to an anniversary update.
First, the multiplayer expansion, Comrades, will receive a new update. Version 1.1.0 will debut on December 12 and will include performance improvements and elimination of some errors. So, you will no longer have problems to level up or progression problems in different missions.
And if that was not enough, there will be optimizations in load times and artificial intelligence. In addition, new challenges called Time Limited Quests will be enabled, as well as the Witch’s Shop, where you will obtain various types of improvements.
Tabata also assured that more content for the RPG is on the way. The developer talked about 3 new episodes of the game. The first of them will be Episode Ardyn that will tell us more about the history of the antagonist. As you will recall, Tabata had already mentioned the possibility of seeing similar content; he also spoke about a possible DLC focused on Lunafreya.
The developer promised more information about these contents in the future because they will talk about them when they have something made to show. Last, but not least, is one of the most interesting additions to the anniversary update. Once you download it, you can play between Noctis, Gladiolus, Prompto, and Ignis in the middle of the battles. Each character will have their own combat style, which you already knew in each individual DLC. The update does not yet have an official release date, but it will arrive sometime in December.
Final Fantasy XV is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. At the beginning of 2018, it will debut on PC. Remember that Episode Ignis will also arrive next month, to be exact it will arrive on December 13.
Tabata is already working on a new IP, which will use the same graphics engine as this RPG title. For his part, Shinji Hashimoto, in charge of the Final Fantasy brand, assured that 2018 will be a great year for the franchise.
