Final Fantasy XV confirmed to launch on November 29

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy XV will now be launched worldwide on November 29 instead of September 30 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This delay of two months had been heard as per the rumors this weekend, and even yesterday there were some leaked instructions to change the date in the promotional material from the stores.

Final Fantasy XV will not hit stores in September as promised, but in November. Square Enix has just confirmed a delay that had been rumored for weeks. The new release date for the game is scheduled for November 30, 2016.

The company and the director Hajime Tabata explained that the new date will “allow the development teams time to further polish and conduct quality testing so that the reality of the game can match the expectations of both the fans and the creative teams.”

“From the moment we joined this project, our vision was to create a level of freedom and realism previously unseen in the series. Regrettably, we need a little bit more time to deliver on this vision and are confident that this new release date will help us achieve this,” says Hajime Tabata the game director. “As the director and lead of this project, I wish to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want Final Fantasy XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding.”

Below you can see the video of Tabata, where the director also explains that the title will be offered a day-one patch, ensuring that it would be on the disc at launch, since everyone is not connected to the internet.
