Final Fantasy XV DLC

Square Enix revealed a few moments ago its plans for the future of Final Fantasy XV. As the company had mentioned, the content of the game will last until 2019. This will be possible to 4 new episodes that will tell you more about the story of Ardyn, Aranea, Lunafreya, and Noctis.

Episode I: Ardyn is scheduled to debut early next year. Its name is currently “The Conflict of the Sage.” On the other hand, “The Beginning of the End” will tell us an alternate story starring Aranea at the end of winter.

In Episode II: Lunafreya, “The Choice of Freedom”, we will learn more about the future of this character and the fight she will undertake to save her loved ones. Finally, in Episode III: Noctis, “The Final Strike”, the protagonist will embark on a final battle. These 2 chapters will arrive sometime in the spring of 2019.

All the episodes together are called “The Dawn of the Future” and will be directed by Takefumi Terada. Square Enix also confirmed a collaboration with Shadow of the Tomb Raider. However, there are no details about it since they will reveal more information in the future.

The surprises do not end there, because the RPG will also receive a new ending. Hajime Tabata, the director of the game, had already talked about this possibility, so they will make it a reality.

And if that was not enough, Square Enix presented the tool to create mods and edit levels on PC. In addition, players can create their own avatar to replace Noctis. It will be possible to see the custom avatars of the other players as ghosts in the RPG.

The mods will arrive this spring, so you can modify the game from Steam Workshop. The level editor will be ready by the fall of this year. The system will let you create maps, simple missions, place enemies and objects. You can take a look at the video below to check what all things will come to the game:

If the above was not enough, you should know that Comrades, the multiplayer expansion of the title, will be released as an independent game this summer. The company promised more details about this in the future.

Square Enix assured that it is preparing new experiences of gameplay for the role title, so everything indicates that there will still be more surprises for this installment of the franchise.

Final Fantasy XV is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
