The virtual store Merchoid has announced that a new Monopoly board game soon will go on sale that will delight fans of Final Fantasy, as it will be based on the seventh installment of the franchise.

It is expected that the board game includes famous characters from Final Fantasy, as well as locations and backstory in the title of Square Enix.

“Delve into the evolving city of Midgar in search of the latest business opportunities. Perhaps you’ll buy up a string of plots for housing development for the people, or go industrial and build a Mako reactor plant,” can be read in an official statement.

The board game will present Midgar, more prosperous and poorest city in the world at the same time dark and dangerous world of Final Fantasy VII.

The board game will cost $49.99 USD and is available for pre-order on the official site of Merchoid. The game will debut on April 14, 2017.

Those who have always enjoyed Monopoly, but had not found enough incentive to buy one for themselves, surely now have serious difficulties to restrain the desire to buy a board game whose chips would be the main characters in the game of Square Enix: Cloud Strife, Tifa Lockhart, Aerith Gainsborough, Barret Wallace, Red XIII, Cait Sith, Cid Highwind, Yuffie Kisaragi, Vincent Valentine and Sephiroth (unfortunately we cannot confirm yet whether they will all be included or not).

Remember that Square Enix is currently working on the remake of Final Fantasy VII for PlayStation 4. This title will prove to be a simple game but remastering is being developed from scratch to present the same story, with greater depth and with a completely different aesthetics, better graphics and exploited gameplay.
