Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 5. The French publisher has revealed that the game will be released during the current fiscal year (ie by 31 March 2018), while there are, however, no other information about the project.
There was talk of an announcement at E3 2017 and a possible Western setting for Far Cry 5, which has now been officially announced by Ubisoft on Twitter. The game, therefore, is a reality, but at the moment there is no details beyond the logo of the game that you see above, only the launch window in view of the current fiscal year (ie by March 31, 2018).
According to the latest rumor, Far Cry 5 will be set in the Old West, Ubisoft has not confirmed or denied these rumors, however, had merely published the logo of the game.
We can already fantasize about where this next chapter set. From the colors of the logo you’d think the title could be set in Cuba or the United States, but of course these are only speculations.
The fifth episode of Far Cry will be unveiled during the publisher’s E3 2017 conference in Los Angeles, to be held live from the Orpheum Theatre on June 12th at 1pm PT. We just have to wait a few weeks for full details on Far Cry 5.
