Far Cry 5 makes its debut in the top spot in the UK standings, ousting Sea of Thieves from the top and becoming the fastest-selling Ubisoft game in the UK. It is also the best-selling game ever in the UK in the thirteenth week of the year, surpassing the previous record of BioShock Infinite.
The PlayStation 4 version recorded the sixth best ever launch for a single platform product of Ubisoft on the UK market and accounts for 60% of the overall game sales on the retail market.
Sea of Thieves and A Way Out, at numbers 1 and 2 of last week, had moderate falls to be placed at numbers 3 and 7. It was a week marked by price drops and sales increases: FIFA 18 rose by 61%, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe by 39%, PUBG by 98%, AC: Origins by 68% and CoD: WWII by 100%.
In addition, Forza Motorsport 7 returned to the direct list to the 9th position. Even Detective Pikachu, last week’s launch, recorded a dramatic 76% rise and climbed from 23rd to 15th place.
