According to reports, the development team of Far Cry 5 have not yet received the dev kit of Xbox One X, however this does not necessarily indicate that the game will not be optimized for the new platform of Redmond.

Now that Far Cry 5 is finally a reality – as we have recently seen on stage in the conference of Ubisoft at E3 2017 -, all the fans of the saga are anxious to play the new scenarios of the game made by the French company.

Scenarios that, barring surprises, will not be optimized for Xbox One X. According to reports from Gamerheadquarters site, in fact, the development team has said that it had not yet received dev kits of the new console from Microsoft, coming to market on November 7th in a much enhanced version that the previous Xbox One.

Developers have already started optimization work on the PlayStation 4 Pro version and they can not work on improvements of the version for Xbox One X until Microsoft will not send a dev kit to the company.

We just have to find out if, during the eight months that separate us from the release of Far Cry 5, Microsoft will remember to send the necessary kit to developers for the desired version of Xbox One X.

There are however still many months in the launch of Far Cry 5 and it is likely that the team will receive a development kit in the coming weeks, so as to optimize the design for Xbox One X.

Far Cry 5 will be released February 27, 2018 on PC, Xbox One , Xbox One X, PlayStation 4 and PS4 Pro.
