Bethesda Softworks has announced the availability of the beta version of the Mod Kit of Fallout 4 on PC through the Steam download platform. It is possible to test some mods via a dedicated interface.
Ahead of its launch in November 2015, Fallout 4 promised to allow different game mods and to set up a dedicated interface with a mod creation tool. Bethesda Sofworks is working on this and now it is possible to try it on PC.
The publisher has announced the launch of the beta version of the interface for browsing the mods.
To benefit, you must have the PC version of the game from the download platform of Steam, then activate the “Betas” in the properties of the game. This will download the 1.5 update that can be enjoyed with the new functionality.
The Creation Kit is meanwhile available for download on the Bethesda website at this address (Windows only) and its size is only 12.29mb. A wiki of the Creation Kit is also available to perfect the handling of this tool.
The publisher also said that the mods will be used in May 2016 on Xbox One and then in the next month of June on PS4.
Fallout 4 deserves its hype for years to come, because the Creation Kit has just been made available to modders that will allow them to create content. It is the same tools that were used to make the game. Suffice to say, it will be possible to retouch everything: quests, characters, weapons, armor, cities, playing areas, etc.
