As we all know, Xbox One X is the most powerful version of the Xbox One family of consoles and this supposes the absence of exclusive titles for its type of hardware. In terms of game development, the Microsoft proposal has led the studios to work so that their games run on the Xbox One and Xbox One S models and also have optimal support to deploy improvements to the new console. According to Rockfish Games, this has been a not so pleasant process for them.
In an interview conducted by GamingBolt, Rockfish Games, the responsible studio of space action Everspace, revealed that working on improvements for Xbox One X has been a process that has consumed more time than they had planned and, according to their experience, they have had to sacrifice their ideas of improvement in a single version to be able to deliver 2 quality versions:
In that sense, the Everspace Dev stated the following: “It is more time-consuming for developers to offer a game that works well on two different platforms, instead of focusing on one and being able to make the most of it.”
However, Rockfish also thinks that, on the consumer side, it is a good option that there are no restrictions for the owners of any of the Xbox One consoles and more for those who have Xbox One X because they can relive previous experiences with a graphics section of high quality.
Everspace is available for Xbox One and PC.
