Eidos Montreal Is Developing A Third Game in Addition To Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Avengers Project

Although, at the moment, the guys of Eidos Montreal are extremely busy in the development of two important titles (Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the mysterious Avenger Project), the leader of the studio, David Anfossi, has found time to deny the rumors about the Deus Ex franchise which is not dead.

In that sense, Anfossi stated the following on the pages of PCGamesN: “Deus Ex, of course, it’s the brand of the studio. We are all attached to this franchise, but we cannot do everything, you know?”

Eidos Montreal is a very active studio and even though the Canadian team is currently working on Shadow of the Tomb Raider and the mysterious Avengers Project, both on behalf of Square-Enix, the studio is also planning the development of a third project not yet announced.

This is also revealed by the director of the studio in the same interview: “So we have Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we have this co-development with Crystal [Dynamics] on The Avengers, and we have a third game in development, so it’s enough at the moment for us.”

Difficult to know more at the time, in the past the name of Eidos Montreal had been associated with that of a new game dedicated to the Guardians of the Galaxy, that the agreement between Marvel and Square-Enix may extend beyond the Avengers Project? The speculations should not be discarded, but at the moment there are no direct confirmations on this, we just have to wait to learn more.

The first gameplay of Shadows of the Tomb Raider will be shown at the E3 2018 in Los Angeles and there is a good chance that even Marvel’s Avengers Project will be present at the American fair, perhaps with the first official trailer.
