EA: Star Wars Battlefront sequel will be “much bigger”

In a presentation to investors, the director of Electronic Arts, Blake Jorgensen, Commented on several important aspects of the significant franchises for the company, such as Battlefield and Battlefront.
Regarding the war game, Jorgensen confirmed that there will be another installment of this saga soon: “We won’t have another Battlefield for a couple of years,” prompting speculation about whether EA plans a new franchise in the game to be available by 2018 or later.
However, one of the topics that was most interesting in the presentation was Star Wars: Battlefront, a title that suffered much criticism for not being more thorough or complete in content, something that the same Jorgensen discussed at the event.
“If there was criticism, they just wanted more. So we’re taking that criticism to heart as we build the next game and trying to address any of the issues that they had,” said the manager of EA.
The first game focused on the contents of the original trilogy of Star Wars managed to sell 14 million copies worldwide, positioning itself as one of the top selling games in history of the franchise. Instead, in the conference, Jorgensen said the sequel will focus on the “new movies”. He added that Battlefront 2 will be much “bigger and more exciting.”
It is worth mentioning that this is not the only Star Wars game in development, because the Respawn developer is working on a game of action and adventure in the third person, while the studio of Dead Space is also making a game of the franchise, under the leadership of the director of Uncharted, Amy Henning.
