It seems that EA Motive, an Electronic Arts studio that was founded in June 2015, is ready to work fully on more games. We say this because it announced that the company is looking for personnel to work on projects related to Star Wars Plants vs. Zombies and a new IP.
What we are referring to is that, through its Twitter account, Mith Dyer, a writer who worked on Star Wars: Battlefront II, announced that EA Motive “officially expanded” with a new office in Vancouver, which will work hand in hand with EA Montreal. There he said that they are looking for developers to work in the aforementioned franchises, as well as a new IP.
An interesting point is that the vacancies available at EA Motive Vancouver are the same as those that PopCap Vancouver advertises on its site https://www.ea.com/studios/popcap/vancouver. This seems to indicate that Motive absorbed the development studio of Plants vs. Zombies, as it did with BioWare Montreal in mid-2017.
It is important to note that, so far, Motive has not shared more details about the projects it has on the way. What we do know is that its new IP is an ambitious project that will take several years to arrive.
Are you excited about the new games of this company? What do you expect them to do with franchises like Star Wars and Plants vs. Zombies ? Tell us in the comments below.
This is really cool. Motive has officially expanded to two offices!
