EA Would Like To Have Cross-Play for Battlefield V

The success of the Battle Royale game experiences and the impact that Fortnite has had since the debut of its battlefield component have had an influence on different sectors of the industry. Recently, during the financial report of Electronic Arts, the company revealed that it could launch a free-to-play experience similar to that of Epic and also took into account the great reception that cross-play has had in the game, which could be envisaged for the next title of Battlefield V.
During the question and answer session that followed the presentation of their financial report, some executives of EA addressed different topics and the vice president of relations with shareholders, Chris Evenden, was questioned about the company’s position regarding cross-play and if it will join at some point in their major titles such as Battlefield V.
In that sense, the manager responded that the idea of the company in this regard revolves around the progress and development of cloud technologies and considered that the time when players are tied to a console will be in the past.
Also, Evenden acknowledged that the influence of Fortnite has had an effect on EA’s plans and said they are motivated to achieve something in terms of cross-play with their most important franchises, including Battlefield V and their multiplayer experiences.
Battlefield V will arrive on October 19 to PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
