Alongside the announcement of the launch date of the PlayStation VR, Sony announces the development of a new episode of the Batman Arkham series compatible with the virtual reality headset, as part of its E3 conference.

Called simply as Batman Arkham VR, this title is being developed within the studio of Rocksteady and will be exclusive to PlayStation VR and, consequently, the PS4.

Announced in the pre-E3 conference from Sony, the title will invite us to solve riddles and knock the Gotham villains in the first person view, under the mask of the batman.

David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment took the opportunity to make a brief comment. He says that virtual reality is expanding and that he and his teams of Rocksteady Studios are excited to finalize this work. “Batman: Arkham VR will provide the most immersive experience anyone could imagine,” says Haddad.

In addition to the trailer below, we learn that the title will allow us to visit iconic locations from the DC Comics franchise, from the eyes of Bruce Wayne.

The game is due for release in the month of October 2016, exclusively on PlayStation 4, alongside the US launch of the PS VR that is on 13 October.
