Dragon Quest XI Gameplay and Opening Video Revealed, launches 2017 on PS4 and 3DS
At the Jump Festa, Square-Enix has released the opening sequence of the much expected Dragon Quest XI, the new episode of the series which is currently in development for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo 3DS.
It is on the occasion of the Jump Festa 2016 that Square Enix gives us more information about Dragon Quest XI with release date, new videos of gameplay and presentation of the characters. The wait for the new chapter of the brand was high, and Square-Enix does not disappoint our expectations.
The Japanese publisher has also unveiled new details about the game: the protagonist (the name was not revealed at the time) is a sixteen year old from the village of Ishi, who will be helped in his quest by Camus, a young thief that we will meet soon on our way. Dragon Quest XI is set in the world of Lotozetasia, the director Takeshi Uchikawa ensures that the map will be comparable in size to those seen in previous episodes of the saga.
Square-Enix has also confirmed the presence of several mini-games (different depending on the platform) and unique features: the version for Nintendo 3DS supports StreetPass and exclusive features in preparation for the edition of PlayStation 4.
At the bottom of the news you will also find a video presentation of Camus and a new gameplay video. Dragon Quest XI is expected in the course of 2017 in Japan on the two aforementioned console, while there is no certain information about the arrival on Switch.
