Square Enix and Nintendo recently surprised Japanese players by announcing the first 3 installments of Dragon Quest for Switch. This happened in the past Nintendo Direct, where the first 3 games of the JRPG series were confirmed only for Japan.

The western followers of the saga initiated diverse campaigns for the localization of these titles in America and Europe. Fortunately, Square Enix will fulfill his dream, for Dragon Quest, Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation will arrive on Switch on both mentioned continents.

Through the Twitter account of Dragon Quest, the company confirmed the launch of such titles in digital format. The titles will be available in the eShop from this September 27.

The games will be released in Japan on the same day with different prices: Dragon Quest (¥600 JPY, $4.99 USD), Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line (¥850 JPY, $6.49 USD) and Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation (¥1500 JPY, $12.49 USD).

Square Enix will distribute the games in Asia in a physical edition, which will include all 3 titles. A similar release has not been confirmed for the western region. However, Nintendo Switch has no regional blocking and the titles will have texts in English.

The first game is from 1986, while the other two titles arrived, each one, the following years. All of them are games of tremendously classic style, but with many of the peculiarities that have remained in the saga to this day.
