Although recent installments of Dragon Quest have made their way into the PC world, the reality is that most of their main adventures have remained in the world of consoles, mobiles, and laptops. That said, this could change in the future, since the creator of the series wants to bring more titles to PC.
In a recent interview with PC Gamer, Yuji Horii, creator of the Dragon Quest franchise, revealed that there is a possibility that we will see past installments of the JRPG series on PC. That said, in the end, everything will depend on how well or badly Dragon Quest XI is among PC gamers.
“If Dragon Quest 11 does sell on the PC, hopefully, we can bring some of the older games in the series and port them to the PC,” said the creative.
To think about the possibility that Square Enix brings ports of classic titles of Dragon Quest to PC is not altogether outlandish. After all, with the relaunch of classics such as Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IX and Chrono Trigger on Steam, the company made it clear that it is open to the possibility. Hopefully the same happens with Dragon Quest and so more people can enjoy classics like Dragon Quest V or Dragon Quest III.
Dragon Quest XI is available for PlayStation 4 and PC. We remind you that in Japan it is also available for 3DS and that there is a version for Nintendo Switch on the way.
