Although the first paid content of DOOM comes on August 5 2016, id Software announced under QuakeCon that the first DLC for the game is now available from now and players don’t have to wait until next day.
The first DLC of Doom, Unto the Evil, is now available for download on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The expansion includes three new multiplayer maps (Cataclysm, Offering and Ritual), a new weapon and a new accessory (the gun UAC EMG and Kinetic Mine), a new demon called Harvester, new sets of armor and more customization options like colors, taunts (for example: robotic sets and a golf club-swinging taunt) and hacking modules.
Accordingly, Unto the Evil is currently available for all platforms for $14.99 USD. Remember that this content is also part of the Season Pass for $39.99 USD, which includes 3 different DLC.
This DLC also includes PartyPlay feature that allows playing in all new maps of Unto the Evil, provided that you form a group with a friend who already owns the downloadable content. To celebrate the launch of Unto the Evil, this weekend there will be double XP. The additional bonus will end on Monday, August 8.
