Bethesda prepared a big surprise for DOOM fans. Through a statement, the company confirmed that in a matter of hours the users of PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X can enjoy the FPS like never before.
This is thanks to a new update that will enable 4K support on both consoles. Best of all, the patch will debut tomorrow. Bethesda highlighted the work that id Software did for the original release of the FPS in 2016.
According to the company, the mixture of cutting-edge graphics with a frenetic pace of play has made DOOM one of the players’ favorite titles. For this reason, they seek to take its potential further.
“Every blast of the BFG, every demon glory kill and every chainsaw slice through a Mancubus can be experienced like never before on consoles. Whether you’re a new player or just eager to jump back into your Praetor Suit, you’re going to want to visit Hell to experience it for yourself,” wrote the company on its official blog.
Bethesda did not confirm if the update will include additional configuration options on PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X. We will have to wait to know the full patch notes and know if there will be options to improve the overall performance of the FPS.
DOOM is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC. Do you want to see how the title looks like in 4K? Then watch the following trailer:
