In case you felt that there was not enough news about cross-play during the week, you’ll be glad to know that Disc Jam, the arcade sports game will soon present this feature between PlayStation 4 and PC.
According to High Horse Entertainment, studio responsible for Disc Jam, this new feature will be possible thanks to recent updates to its online infrastructure. The studio noted that cross-play could be available next week, but they do not assert anything.
“Our recent infrastructure upgrades have paved the way for a very important feature: cross-play between PC and PS4! This means that players from both platforms will soon be able to play against each other, effectively joining our player pools and providing more competition for everyone,” the studio said on Steam.
It is worth mentioning that the original plan of High Horse was to launch the cross-play until the end of the year. However, everything seems to indicate that things went better than they planned, which allowed them to launch the feature ahead of time.
As you know, this is not the only new feature that High Horse is planning for its game. This we say as in May they announced that they would add servers dedicated to their game in order to improve matchmaking and other aspects of the online game.
Disc Jam is a kind of mixture between air hockey and tennis. In it, the players must throw a disc doing everything possible so that their opponents do not take it and thus to be able to add a point. Recently, this title was available as one of the PlayStation Plus games.
