In June of this year, Josef Fares, director of A Way Out, made some statements that were controversial for more than one player. The developer of Hazelight said that PlayStation 4 was not as powerful as we thought because its potential was close to a 5 years old PC.

Fares recently spoke on the subject and stated that his comment was taken out of context. The creative said that technological development is advancing by leaps and bounds. However, he clarified that his opinion on the subject was not going in that direction.

During a recent meeting with GamingBolt, Fares commented: “[It was] so taken out of context. And I don’t even want to comment on that. It’s so… I mean, the people who wrote that, it’s so silly, it’s not even worth commenting on. And if I meet this journalist, I would ask them, “like what were you trying to do here?”

Later, Fares said he does not care about hardware from the perspective of console warfare. “Look, here’s the fact. Let me make this one thing straight: I’m a passion driven man. I don’t care about hardware. I don’t care about console war, that’s all bullshit, okay?” Fares declared.

Later, the developer said that what interests him are the games and that he enjoys them regardless of the console on which they are available and also about people and journalist liking this console war: “I own every single console, I don’t even care about that. I care about games– who cares about consoles, and if they are good or not good? But people seem to like this console war, and so some journalist wanted to have some clicks on his page,” Fares concluded.

A Way Out was presented at E3 2017 and is scheduled to debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC sometime in 2018. The title will put us in the role of Vincent and Leo, prisoners who will try to escape to seek revenge. The interesting thing is that at all times you will play the game in split screen, so the decisions of each player will be important to meet the goals successfully.
