Destiny 2: Players Report Hundreds of Instant Bans on PC

In these hours, the community users of Destiny 2 on PC are reporting massive ban: Bungie seems to have banned hundreds of players in the night, apparently without an apparent reason.
The reports are multiplying on the forums of Bungie and Reddit, in both cases the Community Manager Cosmo intervened to clarify that the company has not yet made any kind of ban on the PC, saving (for the moment) even those who have used apps and third-party services, tools that are not so particularly pleasing to the studio.
“Third-party applications that aren’t compatible with Destiny 2 may cause the game to not run but won’t result in a ban,” Cosmo issued a statement on Bungie.net.
But then what’s going on? At the moment we do not have an answer to a really annoying question for all those players who have been banned and are now basically in a limbo.
It is not excluded that this is actually a mistake, however, Cosmo tells that Bungie and Activision will investigate the problem to try to bring the situation back to normal.
Do you happen to have a ban of this type or do you know someone to whom it happened? Let us know in the comments below.
We do block programs from pushing their code into our game. Most overlays work like that. We don’t ban for that tho. That’s internet BS.
