Rumor: Death Stranding Will Release on PC
Finally, we learned about the release date of Death Stranding in the epic trailer published yesterday, but that is not the only news. In fact, a lot of information about the game came later, including details on the various editions and an explanation of “what is” Death Stranding according to Hideo Kojima.
The title, as you will know, is expected exclusively for PS4, but according to Antonio Fucito, a well-known exponent of the Italian specialized press, this would be an exclusive timeframe, as Kojima Productions and Sony signed an agreement of this type back in 2015.
Commenting on yesterday’s trailer on Reddit, this agreement was reiterated in an official release of Kojima Productions. He said that the agreement between Sony and Kojima Productions is to take the mysterious title of Hideo Kojima in the first phase to PlayStation 4, later to the PC, but not to the Xbox One. He also said he does not know if the exclusivity is six months or a year.
The doubt about PS4 exclusivity began when fans noticed that the cover of the game did not have the usual “Only on PlayStation 4” that normally the exclusive ones have, such as the case of God of War, for example.
Recently, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe and Quantic Dream announced a trio of PlayStation titles for PC via Epic Games Store, something that could happen again with Death Stranding. Probably Death Stranding will also arrive on PC, after a period of time in which it will be available only for PS4, however, as always, we will have to wait for official announcements in this regard.
