Death Stranding is definitely the game of the day: after a whole series of teasers that invited us to “Create the rope” and to “Help to reconnect”, a stream tease was launched on Sony’s official PlayStation Twitch channel today. This latest teaser, which reads “Tomorrow is in your hands”, says nothing new: fortunately, however, the PlayStation Store had a small image and a page dedicated to the pre-order of Death Stranding.
As you can see in the image at the top of this news, the game will feature a series of classic DLC content exclusive to the pre-order of the game. For example, there will be a dynamic theme for PS4, an avatar for PSN (a “Chibi Ludens”, or a miniature version of the Kojima Productions mascot), as well as a series of in-game contents in golden version a pair of sunglasses, armor, a hat and an exoskeleton. It is also reported that these objects are unlocked by advancing in the game.
A description of the game is also available, which contains the following words: “Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre-defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.”
What we all expect, however, is a real gameplay trailer that allows us to fully understand what Kojima imagined with his team. Obviously, even a release date would be welcomed to say the least and, given that the pre-order page is ready, we could also assume that the game is destined to arrive by the end of the year.
For now, the only certainty is that the game will only be available on PlayStation 4: tell us, how long have you waited for Death Stranding?
