Important news about Death Stranding could come from The Game Awards, an event scheduled for Friday, December 7th at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT. Geoff Keighley has released a new trailer for the event that seems to contain a teaser for the new game of Hideo Kojima.

In the video there appears sequences that were taken from past editions and short unreleased pieces of games like Ghosts of Tsushima, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, League of Legends and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, but note the latest clip, starring Hideo Kojima intent on pronouncing the phrase “One More Thing” at the end of the video, taken from the previous edition.

It could be a simple coincidence, but the fact that the offending phrase was inserted at the end of the trailer would make you think about the possibility of seeing news about Death Stranding during the event. As we know, Hideo Kojima and Geoff Keighley are very close friends and this could support the thesis of a reveal, although at the moment it is only a matter of speculation.

According to Guillermo del Toro, the first gameplay of the game could be shown soon. We will know more about it on the night between 7 and 8 December.

Here is the tweet with the trailer, which offers numerous titles published during 2017:
