Dead Cells Confirmed To Release on Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One
If you think that the console world is missing more side scrolling games with a brutal combat style and roguelike elements, we have good news: Dead Cells is on its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
It was in a publication on the Twitter account of Motion Twin, the studio responsible for Dead Cells, where this news was released. Unfortunately, the development team did not feel ready to give more details about it, so all we know is that the title will reach consoles before the end of the year.
In case you do not know, the game is an independent title that came last year to Steam Early Access and quickly caught the attention of many because at no time it was hidden that it is inspired by Castlevania and Dark Souls. That said, the indie has managed to make many people fall in love with its intense combat system and hand-designed levels that feature elements generated procedurally.
“Dead Cells is a platform-type action game in the style of Metroidvania and Roguelike. You will explore a castle that expands and changes constantly and if you manage to fight your way through its guardians in a 2D combat that resembles Dark Souls. There are no checkpoints: kill, die, learn, repeat,” says the official synopsis of Dead Cells.
Are you excited about the arrival of the game to Switch, PS, and Xbox One? In which console will you give it a try? Tell us in the comments below.
