Cyberpunk 2077 Will Be Present At Gamescom 2019, Cosplay Contest of $30,000 Announced

As many expected, CD Projekt RED will be present at gamescom 2019 and will announce much news about Cyberpunk 2077. The company confirmed that the attendees in the event will be able to see the developers in various gameplay sessions.

The presentations will be held from August 21 to 24 in lobby 6, stand C049. Apparently, the title will not be playable, as it will be members of CD Projekt RED who will make the presentations. In addition, the press and industry members will be able to see another presentation behind closed doors from August 20 to 22.

The surprises do not end there, because CD Projekt RED will also hold a phase of the expected official Cyberpunk 2077 cosplay contest, where great prizes will be offered. Participants will compete on August 23, where the first-place prize includes $2,000, Cyberpunk 2077-inspired merchandise, and a spot in the Cosplay Contest Grand Finale sporting a $30,000 prize pool.

It is almost a fact that CD Projekt RED will also share more details of the title to the general public and hopefully will release a trailer with more gameplay. The company recently revealed that Cyberpunk 2077 will feature several prologues and that the personalization of our character will affect the beginning of the adventure.

We remind you that gamescom 2019 will take place from August 20 to 24 in Cologne, Germany. Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
