CDPR: Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer & Free DLC Confirmed
CD Projekt RED has just officially confirmed the work on the multiplayer mode for Cyberpunk 2077. Players can also count on single-player expansions or DLCs that will be available for free. Check the information below.
CD Projekt RED had previously informed about plans to create a multiplayer for Cyberpunk 2077, but developers informed in vain that the mode is in the “research and development” phase. Now we can confirm that the game will receive online multiplayer mode:
“Until now, the only thing we said about multiplayer was that it was in R&D,” the developer said in a tweet. “As we’re getting closer to launching ‘single player’ Cyberpunk 2077 in April 2020, we’d like to confirm that multiplayer’s in the works! If you feel like lending us your skills, apply.”
At the same time, the creators confirmed that on the day of the premiere we will receive only a campaign that will be expanded with additions – the authors again intend to provide free expansions, and then offer multiplayer mode.
“The plan for now is to deliver Cyberpunk 2077 in April, then follow up with DLCs (free!) and single player content, and—once we’re done—invite you for some multiplayer action,” the developer further continued.
As you can see, the game development plans are huge. At the beginning we will know the campaign lasting many hours, then we will be treated with free DLCs and at the end will come what users wanted the most – the multiplayer gameplay.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on April 16, 2020 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
