Cyberpunk 2077 could feature a huge living open-world City and seamless multiplayer
CD Projekt RED wants to overcome itself with Cyberpunk 2077. How? Apparently, the studio wants to make this dystopian game, include a multiplayer that gives life to the city wherein it passes the story.
We have known these details through a program submitted for grants from a Polish, GameINN. CD Projekt has presented the draft of Cyberpunk 2077 and, because of this, has revealed some information about the features that can be found in the game.
Of course, this does not mean that it is finally going to be implemented, but sheds some light on what CD Projekt has in mind for Cyberpunk 2077.
In the project description, you can read that Cyberpunk 2077 is a world that requires “a complex technology for creating a living city , which takes place in real time, based (technology) into a set of rules, IA, and automation “.
Another characteristic for which CD Projekt need additional funds, is for the multiplayer system that wants to implement the game. They need “a complex technology for creating a huge living city, playable in real time, which (the technology) is based on rules, AI, and automation, as well as supports innovative processes and tools for making top-notch open-world games.”
Cyberpunk 2077 is a RPG based on the science fiction universe of Mike Pondsmith. Only officially it is announced for PC, although in 2013 it was said that most likely the title would come to consoles, and the success of its last game on these platforms makes us think about it. As discussed in its day, its development will be long and it will not be a title to expect for short term.
