Cristiano Ronaldo Signs With Juventus, EA Sports Required To Change Fifa 19 Cover

After several rumors, recently Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed his departure from Real Madrid to sign for Juventus, one of the most important teams in Italy. While this may seem to be unrelated to video games, the reality is that a signing of such magnitude has an impact on several markets and one of them is gaming. What we are referring to is that the decision of the Portuguese star caused a problem for FIFA 19.

If you’ve been watching the news about FIFA 19, you know that Cristiano Ronaldo appears on its cover. All right up here; however, the problem is that in it Ronaldo carries the local uniform of Real Madrid, a team for which he will not play next season. This means that EA Sports is required to change the cover of Fifa 19.

At the moment, the company has not specified how it plans to respond to this situation. What seems most likely is that Cristiano Ronaldo remains in it, only this time he does with the Juventus t-shirt. We will be on the lookout and will inform you when the company makes an official announcement about it.

As you can imagine, since the news of the transfer of Ronaldo to the Italian team became official, there were players who got ahead of EA and made their version of the FIFA 19 cover. An example is an image that is circulating through the web, which presents Cristiano with the uniform of “the Old Lady”. The funny thing is that it points out that this is the edition of “Market Bomb Edition” – a term that refers to the most important signings of the season – of FIFA 19.

We remind you that this is not the first time something similar happens. In fact, last year Konami had to edit the cover of PES 2018 since Neymar left Barcelona to become the new star of PSG.

FIFA 19 will debut on September 28 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
