Recently, Vicarious Visions has unveiled details about the support for PlayStation 4 Pro of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.

Being a guests of HipHopGamer Youtube channel, the Vicarious Visions developers have announced that Crash Bandicoot Trilogy N. Sane will run on PlayStation 4 Pro to a resolution of 1440p. As for the fluidity of gameplay, unfortunately the adventure will remain docked at 30fps. It is not known, however, if the collection dedicated to the historical hero will enjoy many display modes, capable perhaps of lowering the resolution in favor of a higher frame rate.

As revealed by the developers, the collection dedicated to Crash will benefit of a boost to the resolution on PS4 Pro, but it will not do the same with regard to gaming performance: the game will run in 1440p native (then upscaled to 4K) and 30 frames per second.

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be released on PlayStation 4 on June 30 (the collection includes the first three chapters of the successful saga created by Naughty Dog).

In the last hours also a bundle of PS4 Slim has been leaked online dedicated to the Collection of Vicarious Visions. The package should include a console of PlayStation 4 Slim 500 GB and a copy of Crash Bandicoot Trilogy N. Sane, all at the price of 329.99 euros with availability scheduled for June 30, the release date of the game dedicated to Crash.

At the time of writing this, Activision (publisher of the game) and Sony Interactive Entertainment have not announced anything, so we are waiting for any official confirmation or denial about it.

  • Awesome, can’t wait to play Crash on Pro. Happy that there is a patch. Wipeout in 4K, Crash at native 1440p, let’s go!

  • I expected this one to actually run close to native 4k. The Last Of Us has a mode to run 4k 30fps and it is more complex than a Crash game. 1440p upscaled is actually a bit disappointing.

  • Can’t wait for people to start hating on this game when it comes out just because it wasn’t made by Naughty Dog. It’s gonna be The Wrath of Cortex all over again.

  • 1440p on ps4 pro ? What a joke, really. ..

They must be using a game engine they have built for a much older title, and for sure, there are some stuff they can’t implement.

I mean, come on… just look at a game like ratchet and clank remaster, and its incredible textures… or a title like horizon zero dawn… or a photorealistic ghost recon wildlands… these games have so many stuff going on at the same time, including huge life-like photorealistic textures, effects, particles….

…A game like crash n sane isn’t even using 30% of those assets… no particle effects, no complex AI with 300 different characters, no deformation, no full ambient light, no shadows… i mean, it’s just a few high-res textures, some animations, some moving parts…. and that’s pretty much all…

Give that game to guerilla games or naughty dog, I’m sure they will manage to reach a 8k 30 fps game !

1440p for such ‘light’ title, it is a shame.

Activision, who have made at least 10 call of duty games , using the same old engine, clearly went the route ‘ohhh, this is a small title, only fans will buy it… 1440p upscalled to 4k will be just fine, no need to spend time doing 4k checkerboard or other techs, time is money. .and we can’t put microtransactions on it, so… fu* it’

    What a shame, seriously. ..

This game could and should EASILY run at 4k native, on the ps4 standard… let alone the ps4 pro…

    What a bunch of gr*edy la*y fa*ts…
