Crackdown 3: After 4 years, Development of The Game Could Be At A Critical Point
According to a recent article by Eurogamer, the development of Crackdown 3 could be in a critical situation. Four years after the announcement of the game, and after several delays, the project is going through a very delicate phase.
According to Wesley Yin-Poole, the author of the article, the developers of Crackdown 3 would have collided with a series of technical difficulties that would have caused the delay of the release date. The referrals were different, to the point of suspecting the cancellation of the game, a symptom of a health status of the project is not really exciting.
As the editor of Eurogamer.net points out, many developers participated in the processing of Crackdown 3, but encountered several difficulties with the implementation of some features of the game, in particular as regards the multiplayer and the destructibility of the environments managed through the cloud.
The last delay of Crackdown 3, with the release date now set for February 2019 on Xbox One and PC, is seen as the last chance to churn out the game within the established time, trying to overcome the various difficulties encountered during the development. The hope, of course, is that Sumo Digital will be able to complete the work in the best possible way, even without the help of Reagent Games, the original team that has not been involved in the project for several weeks.
