The game developer Funcom reported today that the company plans an Early Access on the upcoming game Conan Exiles via a distribution service of Steam on January 31, 2017. The game will also come via Game Preview on Xbox One in the spring of 2017, as it is stated.
Early Access via Steam means according to distribution service the gamers will get instant access to games that are being developed with community participation. These are games that are developed while playing, while providing feedback and while developers update and add content.
Steam says on its website that several prominent titles have used this model of development recently, and found a lot of value in the process.
Conan Exiles is an open world game with survival elements set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. Funcom speaks about a sandbox very rich, with a thick texture and plenty of secrets to discover.
The title is expected to arrive in the final version during 2017 on all the above platforms, the Early Access period will help the developers to get feedback from the community and fix any problems before launch.
