Chris Avellone Wants to Work on The Witcher and Overwatch Series

Chris Avellone is one of the most famous game writers. He has worked on everything from Fallout: New Vegas to Pillars of Eternity and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II. He is even returning to Star Wars this year with Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Having said that, there still seem to be some franchises, particularly Overwatch and The Witcher, to which Chris Avellone would like to work, according to Video Games Chronicle.

“In my career I’ve had the chance to work on Fallout, World of Darkness, Dying Light 2, Planescape, System Shock… it’s been really, really good. feel like I’ve worked on – or am currently working on – all of the game series that I really enjoy or love. The Witcher would be cool, now that I think about it… that would be very cool! I don’t know if there are any ambitions beyond that for me, other than The Witcher.”

Despite this, he also mentioned how he would be interested in writing for Overwatch. “Overwatch would be fun too. I worked with Michael Chu, their lead narrative designer, at Obsidian and I really like his writing. I really love writers who when I read their work I don’t have any comments. He’s a good writer and I love the characterization in that game. I’m a comic book nerd so seeing superheroes in a game environment warms my heart,” he said.

Writing for The Witcher or Overwatch is currently just an ambition for Chris Avellone right now, he has some other projects in the pipeline currently, like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, but other projects he’s working on include Dying Light 2 and Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
