Capcom has confirmed during the last meeting with shareholders that they are willing to support Nintendo Switch. Currently, the Japanese company is working to understand how to move, the objective would be to publish multi-platform titles of PS4 and Xbox One to Nintendo Switch.
Capcom is currently investigating and considering whether to bring its multi-platform games of PS4 and Xbox One to Nintendo Switch (which could be region free): these novelties emerged from a recent Q&A event, held by the Japanese company.
“We are currently carrying out research with regards to multiplatform implementation of software for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on to the Nintendo Switch,” a spokesperson of Capcom said in an investor Q&A.
“We do feel that there are differences in the desired direction and the play-style of the Nintendo Switch and those of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Our goal is to identify the right system for our titles after weighing various factors, we want our games can express their full potential. As a software publisher,
we endeavor to develop games that offer enjoyment best suited to each piece of hardware’s
features and target users.”
At the moment Capcom has not announced any title for the console, but according to some rumors the new Monster Hunter XX (Double Cross) might come out not only on 3DS but also on Switch.
