Randy Pitchford: “Borderlands 3 Will Be Announced When We Are Ready”

Borderlands 3

Responding to a question on Twitter, Randy Pitchford of Gearbox has clarified the situation regarding Borderlands 3, declaring that the game will be announced when they are ready to talk about it, hoping to put an end to the many rumors about the project.

In that sense Pitchford said the following: “It has been no secret that we have games in development and that includes games in the Borderlands franchise. I cannot control what other people worry about. I’m worried about creating entertainment and will announce things when they are ready.”

The studio’s CEO does not explicitly mention Borderlands 3 but makes no secret that projects related to the series are currently being worked on. According to some recent rumors, Borderlands 3 could be unveiled at PAX East in late March, while soon the company could announce Borderlands Remastered, to celebrate the ten years since the launch of the game.

So sorry I don’t have an answer for you yet. We are working on something. I look forward to when it’s ready to share.— Randy Pitchford (@DuvalMagic) March 2, 2019
