Borderlands 3: 4-Player Co-Op Could Return In The Game

Borderlands 3 has been the focus of various news recently, a curious fact especially for a game that has not yet been announced officially. After weeks and weeks of intense speculation and rumors that Borderlands 3 would be finally announced at E3 2018, it is now starting to look very likely that the game will probably not be present at the show, especially in light of the recent comments of Gearbox’s boss, Randy Pitchford.
Pitchford, however, has again shared some information via Twitter and, this time, although he is not giving fans hope for the title at E3 2018, he has talked about things that are likely to be in the game. Actually, for the moment nothing has been confirmed, but the words of the Gearbox boss are definitely intriguing.
According to reports, after a couple of jokes that were part of an exchange with industry analyst Michael Pachter, a fan asked Pitchford if Borderlands 3 will once again present a 4-player cooperative. When Pitchford replied, he mentioned for the first time that Borderlands 3 has not yet been announced, before saying that there is nothing wrong with the 4-player co-op, being something that has worked pretty well so far.
So yes, it’s not at all a confirmation, especially for a game that does not yet officially exist, but the statement suggests that Borderlands 3 will probably again have a 4-player co-op.
Would you like Borderlands 3 to have 4 player co-operative again? Tell us in the comments below.
Unfortunately, the Borderlands engine only allows for four players and they have to be on the same team.

I was joking with Pachter who claimed COD engine could only support 32 player multiplayer.

No such game has been announced. Also, why not? Seems to have worked well so far.
