Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Available Now on PC, PS4 & Xbox One

The new horizontal scrolling RPG of Koji Igarashi, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now available in digital format for PC (Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The physical versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will release on Friday 21 June. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will also be released for Nintendo Switch consoles on Tuesday 25th June (digital version) and Friday 28th June (physical version). The recommended retail price of all versions of the game is $39.99.

Conceived by Koji Igarashi, the creator of the genre Igavania, and embellished by the soundtrack of Mirichu Yamane (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) and Ippo Yamada (Resident Evil), Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a modern horizontal scrolling RPG able to satisfy the palates of all the old and new fans of this genre. Everything in Bloodstained is rendered in 3D and reproduced in 2D within the largest game map ever created by Koji Igarashi.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set in England in the eighteenth century, gamers will play as Miriam, an orphan girl struck by an alchemist curse that is slowly turning her skin into crystal. Miriam will fall into a mysterious coma, from which she will wake up ten years later. The girl’s task will be to reach and explore a castle infested with a legion of demons, stop their summoner Gebel, and find a cure for the alchemists’ curse.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will include alternative endings and the gaming experience will be expanded with more than a dozen free DLCs that will include local and online multiplayer (Co-Op and VS), as well as Roguelike modes, Boss Rush, Chaos and Nightmare difficulty level. A series of playable characters just waiting to be discovered, exponentially increasing the replayability of this title.

Starting today, the first paid DLC ($9.99) will be available for PC, “Iga’s Backpack”, which will allow you to fight against Koji Igarashi and to take over, once defeated, his powerful “Swordwhip”. This DLC will be available for Nintendo Switch on Friday 28 June. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One gamers can instead buy the Iga’s Backpack DLC starting Tuesday, July 2nd. The Boss Rush and Speedrun modes, as well as a new costume for Miriam, will be included in the free DLC “Speed ​​Demon Update” available today for PC and from next week for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.
