Bloodstained officially canceled for Wii U, confirmed for Nintendo Switch release
Now it’s official: the Wii U version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night was canceled, but the game will come out anyway on Nintendo Switch. The confirmation came from the Creative Director Koji Igarashi, directly on the page Kickstarter.
Some months ago Koji Igarashi had mentioned the possible cancellation of the Wii U version of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, and just over two weeks after confirming the edition of Nintendo Switch, now comes the cold shower for the former owners of flagship of the house of Kyoto: the Wii U version of the game was officially canceled.
Igarashi and his team have motivated this decision in a post on Kickstarter, saying that the launch of Switch has drastically changed the situation and ir became difficult for them to get by Nintendo the support necessary to continue development on the home console with GamePad.
The team has published a message of thanks to all the supporters of the project, reassuring the players who had selected the Wii U version of the game. The solution adopted is very simple: if you have chosen the version of Wii U you can automatically receive the one for Nintendo Switch in place, otherwise you can choose another version (PC, PS4, Xbox One or PS Vita) or request a refund via PayPal within and no later than April 20.
