Bioshock and Prey Designer Joins 2K for New Project
Shawn Elliott has left Arkane Studios (who has made games like Dishonored and Prey) to join 2K, according to the curriculum vitae of this developer. Elliott will be integrated into the new studio of the company which is establishing in Novato, California.
Elliott, who has also worked at Irrational Games, will be joining this new studio (which is not yet named) as responsible for the combat system of the game they are working on.
Rumors suggest that this studio will take the reins of the BioShock saga and that, for this, 2K is building a development team for the occasion.
We know that the company has been making signings among industry veterans for months, but an announcement has not yet been made about the first project of this new unit within the structure of 2K Games.
If the rumors of BioShock gain new strength, it is because Elliott was a member of Irrational Games and had a very prominent role in the development of the founding title of the saga: he was an associate producer and responsible for designing the levels of the successful game.
