Beyond Good & Evil 2 has been one of the unexpected surprises of E3 2017. No one thought it was going to appear, in fact since Ubisoft had indicated that the game would not be present at the fair to end up confirming just the opposite. Be that as it may, the game exists, it will predictably come to PS4, Xbox One and PC, and now we have new details about the adventure.
In a new developer diary that you can see at the end of this article, Michel Ancel, creator of the series, has detailed that the players will be able to design their own characters in the time to enter in this new adventure that acts like prequel of the game.
Ancel also confirms that the game will be set in a system of stars that will be generated procedurally (to No Man’s Sky) using a technology that is in development at Ubisoft and intends to offer planets 100 percent explorable and without leaving aside the details.
“There is a simulation of the universe, where everything is rotating in the classical way, so if you change the time you see the rotation,” explains Ancel, who promises sunsets adjusted to the evolution of time and varied according to the planet where we are in this precise moment.
Players will be free to explore different free-formed planets, but Beyond Good & Evil 2 will be a classic adventure game. “It’s simple, but you have a lot of freedom in the way of solving things. So it’s interesting to imagine a game where you can decide to do this or that, and the order is not that much important, and the way you manage the problems is your way of playing,” says the team.
The game has as its main theme of “travel”. It will be the players who will travel this universe to know new cultures, learn from them and evolve, according to Ancel. Beyond Good and Evil 2 has no release date yet.
